Learn More about Mini Schnoodle Puppies for Sale

A Mini Schnoodle is a cross between a Miniature Schnauzer and a Miniature Poodle. Most Mini Schnoodles resemble the Schnauzer in the face and the Poodle in the coat. They are generally gray and black but can also be brown, white, or spotted. They take the best characteristics from their parents: loyalty and energy from the Schnauzer and intelligence from the Poodle.

Mini Schnoodles weigh from 6 to 10 pounds and stand 10 to 12 inches tall. They are very popular and can sometimes be challenging to find. The average lifespan of a Mini Schnoodle is 10 to 18 years.

History of Mini Schnoodle's Puppies for Sale

Initially designed in the 1980s to be a low shed and low dander breed for families, the Schnoodle comes in three sizes: the Standard, Mini, and Toy Schnoodle. Schnoodles were bred because of the rising popularity of Poodle mixes. They were bred to be great companions and used as therapy dogs. Claire Danes and other celebrities have “famous” Mini Schnoodles that they love to show off. They are now called “designer dogs,” which is the intentional breeding of two purebreds to create a hybrid. Designer dogs are typically more expensive because they require purebred parents and don’t yield as many puppies per litter.

Mini Schnoodle Puppies for Sale Temperment

Mini Schnoodles have a perfect blend of qualities from the Poodle and Schnauzer. They are fun-loving, loyal, protective, affectionate, and charming. Schnoodles are very smart, which makes them easier to train. Schnoodles are prone to excessive barking, so it is essential to begin training them when you bring them home. Mini Schnoodles can become territorial over toys but are generally easy-going.

Mini Schnoodles will tell you when they are excited and happy by tucking his tail under him and running in a circle. Also referred to as the “forever happy” dog, the Mini Schnoodle will be happy anywhere, whether on your lap, at the park, or in the car.

Where will the Mini Schnoodle Dog to buy feel best?

Mini Schnoodles get along best with children and cats but can get along with other dogs in the household with proper socialization. They do well with young children and elderly people, making them a great addition to any home. Before adopting a Mini Schnoodle, we recommend having everything you need, including a crate, food, dog bed, and toys. This will help your Mini Schnoodle puppy get acclimated to their new space and aid in training.

Grooming an Mini Schnoodle Dog for sale

Also known as the “teddy bear dog,” a Schnoodles coat resembles the Poodle puppies, very wavy and soft. Mini Schnoodles are hypoallergenic and do not shed much, if at all. This makes them great pets for people with dog allergies.

You will want to brush your Mini Schnoodle once or twice a week. We recommend using a slicker brush to eliminate any knots or mats. They are prone to tear stains around their eyes, so you will want to wash their face daily. Their ears will also need to be cleaned daily. Clip their nails once or twice a month, depending on their activity level. If you can hear their nails on the floor, it is time for a trim.

Mini Schnoodles will likely need to be professionally groomed every 4 to 6 weeks. Popular haircuts for Mini Schnoodles are the teddy bear cut, famous with their signature “mustache.”

Exercising an Mini Schnoodle Dog to Buy

Mini Schnoodles can be high-energy dogs, so you’ll want to get at least 30 to 60 minutes of playtime every day. Mini Schnoodle puppies need less exercise and avoid strenuous exercise while growing to prevent bone or joint damage. Make sure to keep toys inside the house, which counts towards the exercise time for the day.

Nutrition for an Mini Schnoodle Dog to Purchase

Mini Schnoodles need high-quality food packed with protein, carbohydrates, oils, and minerals to promote a shiny coat and build muscles. As a mixed breed, they are less prone to sensitive stomachs but watch out for loose stool or stomach pain when starting a new food. Pick food with real meat, highly digestible ingredients, zero fillers, added vitamins and minerals, and omega fatty acids.

Mini Schnoodles can develop the same issues as their Schnauzer or Poodle parents, such as hip and elbow dysplasia and eye disease. You can keep your puppy happy and healthy through diet and exercise.
