We had an amazing experience with Blue Sky Puppies! Jessica was absolutely wonderful. She was patient, kind, and answered all of our questions throughout the process. She even put a note on Ace’s kennel letting the staff know he was waiting for his family and texted me to let me know he’d be waiting for us. That personal touch meant so much. We brought home a sweet, calm, healthy Havapoo, and our family couldn’t be happier. Thank you, Jessica, for making this such a special experience!

Excellent experience. From the first moment they were very friendly and answered all our questions. The puppy arrived clean, healthy and well cared for. You can see that they care about the well-being of their dogs and finding them a good home. The process was clear and professional, and they made us feel confident with our decision. Meet Crew the Multi-poo!🐾 This place was clean and Dana was great! The whole process of adopting this sweet little guy was seamless. Blue sky reached out to us multiple times after to check on him to make sure he was good and adjusting. I waited to make this review after having had him for two weeks to make sure he was the best puppy ever like I thought that he was. He is healthy. He is already potty, trained, smart energetic. We couldn’t be happier with this new addition to our family. Thanks again, blue sky puppies. Shout out to Dana for being so sweet to my family and giving us extra time to make sure he was the one. I would highly recommend this place to find your new family member.

Bernedoodle (All Sizes) Puppies For Sale

We are open today! Come visit our beautiful variety of all sizes of Goldendoodle puppies we have for sale at Blue Sky Puppies!

Bernedoodles from mini to standard

The Bernedoodle crosses a Bernese Mountain Dog with a Poodle. This page gathers the sizes we carry so you can compare them together rather than one at a time.

The Bernese half is the interesting half

Most doodle crosses are built on a retriever or a working companion. The Bernese Mountain Dog is different: a large Swiss draft and farm dog from the canton of Bern, used to pull carts and work alongside farmers in the Alps.

What the breed is best known for is temperament. Bernese are famously mellow, affectionate, and slow-paced compared with other dogs their size, and that steadiness is the main thing people are after when they choose this cross. Crossed with the Poodle’s intelligence and low-shedding coat, the result is a shaggy, easygoing dog with more off-switch than most doodles.

Choosing between the sizes

A standard Bernedoodle is a genuinely large dog. Plan for the scale: crate size, car space, food budget, grooming cost, and leash training started while the puppy is still liftable.

A mini Bernedoodle, built on a Miniature Poodle parent, keeps much of the temperament in a considerably smaller frame. It is the practical option for smaller homes and for owners who want the character without the logistics.

Adult size in a crossbreed is a projection rather than a promise, so ask us about the individual puppy’s parents and expected range.

Coat and Florida heat

Both parents contribute a lot of coat, and the Bernedoodle’s is usually thick and wavy to curly. It sheds little, which is the appeal, and it mats readily, which is the cost.

Brush three or four times a week, working in sections down to the skin, and follow with a comb. Professional grooming every six to eight weeks. Behind the ears, in the armpits, and along the trousers are where mats start.

Heat deserves genuine planning. The Bernese side descends from an Alpine working dog, and a heavy-coated dog is not built for a Florida August or a humid Tennessee summer. Walk in the cool hours, keep sessions short in high heat, provide shade, water, and air conditioning, and talk to a groomer about the right trim rather than shaving.

Exercise and training

Bernedoodles are calmer than many doodle crosses, but calm is not the same as sedentary. A solid daily walk plus play and some mental work suits most. Poodle intelligence means training games and puzzle feeders pay off.

Both parent breeds are sensitive, so reward-based training works and heavy correction backfires. For standards, keep exercise low-impact while the puppy is growing and feed a large-breed puppy formula.

See both sizes together

The difference between a mini and a standard is dramatic in person and easy to underestimate on a screen. Look at each on its own if you prefer: standard and mini.
